Our Services
Medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology delivered with the precision of a triple board-certified, fellowship-trained specialist.
Comprehensive Skin Health
Medical dermatology forms the foundation of our practice. From the first visit, Dr. Hardy conducts a thorough evaluation — not a rushed appointment. Every diagnosis is grounded in dermatopathology expertise, meaning the analysis goes deeper than most practices can offer.
We treat the full spectrum of skin conditions, from common concerns like acne and eczema to complex chronic diseases that require long-term management strategies. Our approach pairs clinical rigor with genuine patient engagement.
Full-body skin cancer screenings are a cornerstone of preventive care, particularly in the South Carolina sun. Early detection saves lives — and we take that seriously.

Aesthetics Backed by Science
Cosmetic dermatology at Collo Rosso is never about chasing trends. Every treatment recommendation starts with a clinical skin assessment — understanding your skin's structure, texture, and needs before any procedure is discussed.
Dr. Hardy brings the same board-certified rigor to cosmetic work that he applies to medical dermatology. The result is natural, refined outcomes — not overcorrected aesthetics.
"Cosmetic dermatology done right starts with a diagnosis — understanding what your skin actually needs, not what's popular."
Precision From the First Incision
Surgical dermatology demands more than technical skill — it requires a clinician who understands exactly what is being removed and why. Dr. Hardy's dual training in dermatology and dermatopathology means he interprets what he surgically removes, closing the diagnostic loop that most practices leave open.
Every excision is planned with both oncologic adequacy and cosmetic outcome in mind. We don't separate the two — a well-placed, well-closed wound is as important as clear margins.
Why Mohs Is Different
Mohs micrographic surgery is not simply a more aggressive excision — it is a fundamentally different approach to skin cancer removal. The surgeon serves simultaneously as the operating physician and the pathologist, examining 100% of the surgical margins in real time while the patient waits.
This real-time feedback loop is what makes Mohs the most precise and tissue-conserving technique available, particularly for cancers on the face, ears, scalp, hands, and feet — areas where preserving healthy tissue matters most.
The Mohs Process
Tissue Removal
A thin layer of tissue is removed from around and beneath the visible tumor. The surgical site is bandaged while tissue is processed.
Microscopic Analysis
The removed tissue is mapped, frozen, sectioned, and examined microscopically — 100% of margins assessed by Dr. Hardy himself.
Targeted Re-Excision (if needed)
If cancer cells remain at any margin, only that precise area is re-excised. Healthy tissue is preserved at every adjacent margin.
Wound Closure
Once clear margins are confirmed, the wound is closed using the most appropriate technique — repair, flap, graft, or secondary intention — optimized for both function and cosmesis.
Cure rates for Mohs surgery reach 98–99% for primary tumors — the highest of any skin cancer treatment modality available.
